Ontologies and Thesauri

For data publication ISPRA defined an OWL conceptual model able to describe all classes involved and the relationships existing among them.

In addition, to support the maximum integration of the resources published, different SKOS vocabularies were generated which can be used to describe specific aspects such as classifications methods for hydrogeological instability and soil protection works.

Publication of the vocabularies allows data normalization during data search and retrieval supporting also the creation of possible applications.
